Tuatha De

The Tuatha De, also known as the Tuatha De Dannan are the tribe of the gods that make up a large part of the deities that the Society of Ancient Irish Religion worships. Almost every rite and theological manner involves the Tuatha De in some form or another.

The Society ultimately chose to use the name Tuatha De instead of the Tuatha De Dannan due to the controversy over Danu and her existence. The Society ultimately believes that Danu did not historically exist and follows the theory that Dannan was added by Christian monks, who were also called Tuatha De. As such this decision is not respected by the Society.
